  • William J. Johnston Middle School: WJJMS students will be returning to full-time, in-person learning beginning April 19th. On March 17th, District administrators held a parent Q&A, which can be viewed here: WJJMS Reopening Parent Q & A, 3.17.2021

  • CALENDAR CHANGE: Friday, April 9th will be an Early Release Day for All Schools.  Friday, April 9th will be an early release day for all schools to avoid conflicts with the closed vaccination clinic for CPS staff.   • Grab-N-Go Meals Update:  Colchester Public Schools will offer free breakfast and lunch to all students and to all children 18 years of age and younger (includes: entree, fruit, veggie, and milk) through the last day of school in June 2021. Beginning April 1, 2021, Grab-N-Go Meals pick up will be at Bacon Academy in front of the Auditorium doors.  Pick up days will be Mondays and Thursdays only, and pick up time will be 10:00AM to 10:30AM. 

  • 2021-2022 Education Budget Process:

  • The next BOE budget workshop will be on Tuesday, March 23rd at 6:00 via ZOOM video conference calling. All meetings are open to the public and can be accessed here: BoardDocs public access.

  • The Drive-Thru Food Box Distribution will be held every Friday through the end of March. The food box distribution will be held on the following dates: March 19th, 26th, 2021 at Abundant Life of the Assemblies of God, 85 Skinner Road, Colchester, CT from 2:00-4:00 pm (until supplies run out).   • US EPA Region 1 is offering an interactive webinar on Thursday, March 25th at 10:00 am for parents, caretakers and children (K-3) in Connecticut. “Let’s Learn About Lead in Connecticut” is a webinar about lead safety designed by EPA New England for parents, caretakers and children (K-3).   • The Colchester Soccer Club will be holding its Annual Meeting on Wednesday, March 24 at 7pm via video conference. All members are welcome to attend.
