Our Goals:
CPS will increase achievement for each student, with students demonstrating measurable growth.
Measured by district, state, and classroom assessments including but not limited to: SAT, PSAT, NGSS, SBAC, STAR, DIBELS, iReady, Benchmark.
- Promote a continually relevant, rigorous, and engaging educational environment
- Utilize multi-tiered systems of supports to ensure student growth
- Ensure access to regular education and alignment to grade level curricular standards
- Innovate course offerings and refine sequencing
- Expand opportunities for student choice and exploration
CPS will foster community pride and ensure that students, staff, and the community as a whole feel valued, accepted, and connected.

Colchester, CT – April 2026 – Colchester Public Schools has been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education (BCME) Award from The NAMM Foundation for their outstanding support and commitment to music education for a second year in a row!
