Morning Drop Off Procedures

As we get back into the swing of things, we want to ensure that morning drop-off runs smoothly and safely for all students and families. Please note that student drop-off is now located on the side of the building.
To help keep traffic flowing and ensure student safety, please keep the following reminders in mind:
  • Pull forward: When dropping your child off, please pull as far forward as possible before allowing them to exit the vehicle.
  • Please Do Not Stop Along the Sidewalk If There Is Room to Pull Forward. To ensure a safe and efficient drop-off process, please continue pulling forward along the curb if there is space available. Staff will safely guide students down the sidewalk to the school doors from all points within the drop-off zone. There is no need to stop directly in front of the school entrance. Thank you for helping us keep traffic moving and students safe!
  • Exit from the passenger side only: For the safety of all students, children should only exit from the passenger side of the car.
  • Stay in your vehicle: Parents should remain in the vehicle at all times during drop-off. Please make sure your child has everything they need and is ready to exit the vehicle quickly once you reach the drop-off zone.
  • Accompany walkers to the sidewalk: If you are walking your child to school, you must walk them all the way down the sidewalk to the designated drop-off area. Students may not walk alone from the street to the building.
  • Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us create a safe and smooth start to each school day!

Team building and collaboration in the classrooms:

This week, some of our students participated in engaging classroom team-building activities designed to promote collaboration, problem-solving, and communication. Grade 4 students took on the Paper Chain Challenge, working in small groups to create the longest possible paper chain using limited materials. This activity encouraged them to think strategically and work together efficiently. Meanwhile, our Grade 3 students embraced the Marshmallow Tower Challenge, where teams built the tallest free-standing structure using spaghetti, tape, string, and a marshmallow on top. Both activities were a fun and interactive way to build teamwork skills while fostering creativity and critical thinking in the classroom.
