Free/Reduced Meal Application - information and attachments

Hello Parents/Guardians

The attached forms are full of important information regarding free/reduced meals for your child(ren) for school year 2026-27. PLEASE NOTE: ALL OF THESE ATTACHMENTS WILL BE SENT HOME IN A PACKET WITH EVERY STUDENT ON THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL.

PLEASE NOTE: BREAKFAST IS FREE FOR ALL STUDENTS.   LUNCH IS FREE FOR STUDENTS WHO QUALIFY FOR FREE OR REDUCED PRICED MEALS.  

Please read all the information provided – these attachments include the benefits of free/reduced meal eligibility, the application, frequently asked questions & answers (FAQs), income guidelines, contact information and information about health insurance. This information and forms are available on the Colchester Public Schools website at colchesterct.org and hard copies are available in the main office at each of our four schools throughout the school year (including Spanish).

If your child(ren) qualified for free or reduced meals school year 2025-26, this eligibility carries over for the first 30 days of school year 2026-27 – which is through October 8, 2026.  

If you do not receive a letter informing you of eligibility for free or reduced priced meals for your child(ren) by September 15, 2026 for school year 2026-27, please be sure to complete and submit a free/reduced meal application.
